Eventually genetically modified to generate unique explosives via her body chemistry, Bette took on the name Plastique, clashing often with Firestorm, as well as serving the Suicide Squad, earning a pardon. Eventually, she would briefly reform, marrying Captain Atom before the two divorced, and she returned to a life of crime, and also a tenure in the Suicide Squad, where her explosive nature is handy.
