Fan Casting Perry White in Return to the DC Universe

Perry White grew up in Metropolis, and knows his home so well, even from growing up in Suicide Slum. As he grew, he wanted to be able to bring the truth to people, leading to his becoming a reporter after his work as a copy boy. Much older now, Perry runs a tight ship at the Daily Planet, even as he has had to take time off now and then from his role as managing editor, with one big example being his time dealing with cancer from his old smoking habits. A strong willed man, Perry believes in the power of the word, and also is a good husband to his wife Alice, and a good father to their adopted son, Keith.
