Fan Casting Mon-El in Return to the DC Universe

Hailing from the xenophobic Daxam, Lar Gand dreamt of more in life. Eventually, finding a rocket that had been programmed by his ancestor Bal Gand (something he didn't know), and was sent to Earth. Suffering amnesia, Lar was found by Superman when he was Superboy, but exposure to lead almost killed him, until Clark used the Phantom Zone Projector to send him into the Phantom Zone, swearing to find a cure. For a time, Lar opted in Metropolis in the 21st century, but now resides in the 31st century as Mon-El, one of the mightiest in the Legion of Super-Heroes.
