Fan Casting Mister Atom in Return to the DC Universe

Nuclear engineer Dr. Charles Langley and his assistant Susan Rodriguez created the robot Mister Atom that would process nuclear waste back into inert material. When Rodriguez had a falling out with Langley and left the project, Langley eventually began to die, and asked Mister Atom to "find a good woman to care for him". However, Mister Atom would go berserk until he battled Captain Marvel and was stopped. Over time, he would be upgraded for military combat, and fight the Marvel Family over and over again, alone, with the Secret Society, or the Monster Society, a collection of Captain Marvel's many enemies.
