Fan Casting Max Mercury in Return to the DC Universe

Max Mercury was born in the early 19th century. By 1838, he had been assigned as a messenger at a fort. He made friends with the local Blackfoot clan, where he was blessed by the chief with a connection to great speed, taking on the name Windrunner. Over the years, Max would move forward, making leaps through time, trying to learn the truth of the Speed Force. He would go on to mentor Bart Allen in his days as Impulse, before being pulled into the Speed Force. Since freed, Max continues his mentoring of his fellow speedsters and adjusts to life anew.
