Fan Casting Khaji Da in Return to the DC Universe

A Reach infiltrator scarab that came to Earth centuries ago and confused yet intrigued sorcerers of all kinds, Khaji Da, as he would name himself later on, would be used in legend by Pharaoh Kha-Ef-Re, and placed in his tomb when he died. Many died until the day Dan Garrett found it and with it, he became the first Blue Beetle, and couldn't be used by Ted Kord, before ending up in the hands of Shazam. During the Infinite Crisis, the scarab attached to Jaime Reyes' spine, and together with Jaime, Khaji Da broke free from the Reach's influence and now works with his partner to protect the world.
