Born as Princess Chay-Ara in Egypt centuries ago, a curse has caused Shiera Hall (née Saunders) to live multiple lives with her husband, Carter Hall aka Hawkman, in addition to their souls linked to Nth Metal, a gravity-defying metal from distant Thanagar. Although separated for a time after the Brightest Day, the duo have reunited, as they protect the skies with their skills over centuries of life.
