Fan Casting Hawk in Return to the DC Universe

Chosen by the Lords of Chaos as his brother Don was chosen by the Lords of Order, Hank Hall became Hawk, an avatar of war. Hank often butted heads with his younger brother's more liberal approach, feeling that might makes right. When Don died in the first Crisis, Hank's anger overcame him, even as Dawn Granger, his second Dove, tried to help him before she was supposedly killed by Monarch, his future self. Taking on the mantle of Monarch, Hank would then evolve into Extant before he was killed by Atom Smasher, then revived as a Black Lantern, then given life again. Feeling he doesn't deserve this second chance, Hawk is out to be a soldier with more reckless abandon than before.
