Fan Casting Frag in Return to the DC Universe

Originally a ski instructor from Innsbruck, Austria, Fritz Klein was one of many people kidnapped by the Dominators, used for their Blaster process to create new metahumans. He was one of the survivors, giving him the ability to transform into living metal and explode in a barrage of shrapnel. Calling himself Frag, Fritz and the others became known as the Blasters. While in space for a time, they would return home, with Frag doing what he can to help people back home, until Snapper Carr invited him to join the JLA's support staff at the Hall of Justice, making him chief of security in the Hall.
