Fan Casting Dr. Leslie Thompkins in Return to the DC Universe

A close friend and medical colleague of Thomas Wayne, Leslie Thompkins served as a surrogate parent to his son Bruce after his parents are murdered, and later becomes a confidant in his crusade as Batman as well as offering medical help to the less fortunate of Gotham. However, Leslie did also worry about what Bruce's actions might do now and then, which caused a major rift between them when she faked Stephanie Brown's death. Though Bruce has learned the truth and forgiven her, Leslie has opted to remain in Africa, hoping to help more people there, but offers her support to Bruce and the Batman family.
