Fan Casting Doctor Fate in Return to the DC Universe

The great-nephew of the original Dr. Fate, Kent V. Nelson was a brilliant psychiatrist whose life fell apart when he had an affair with a university student, leading him to lose his marriage and then his practice. When the Helmet of Nabu found him, Kent was surprised by what he learned, eventually taking on the role of his great-uncle, becoming the new Dr. Fate. A powerful sorcerer, Kent needs to be in contact with the Helmet of Nabu to use his powers after finding his new purpose. As part of the JSA, Kent continues the legacy of Dr. Fate, and becoming a more skilled sorcerer in time.
