Fan Casting Doctor Regulus in Return to the DC Universe

Working at the nuclear plant that Derek Morgna, the father of Legionnaire Sun Boy, worked at, Dr. Zaxton Regulus had worked on a project hoping to absorb and amplify solar energy via radioactive gold isotopes. When a lab accident caused an explosion and killed one of the workers, Regulus blamed Dirk for distracting him but was fired. Seeking revenge, Regulus caused the incident that led to Dirk to become Sun Boy. Wanting revenge, Regulus made a suit that gave him powers similar to Sun Boy, but time in the suit had changed him to need energy from the Arion Star, and would join the Legion of Super-Heroes to hope to kill Dirk.
