Fan Casting Danielle "Danni" Garrett in Return to the DC Universe

As the granddaughter of Dan Garrett, the original Blue Beetle, Danielle grew up hearing stories of her grandpa's adventures as well as being aware of his choosing Ted Kord as his successor. Years later, after much research, Danni would come to meet Jaime Reyes, the third Blue Beetle, being intrigued to claim the scarab Khaji Da for the sake of family. Eventually seeing what Jaime was capable of as Blue Beetle, Danni has offered her experience to help him, such as using Ted Kord's old Bug ship and providing Jaime with an idea of the larger legacy he is a part of.
