Fan Casting Brenda Del Vecchio in Return to the DC Universe

One of Jaime Reyes' best friends, Brenda Del Vecchio was raised by her sick mother, until she passed and then by her abusive, alcoholic father. Though she could be herself around Jaime and Paco even with bruises, Brenda ended up hospitalized in the year Jaime Reyes disappeared after first being Blue Beetle, thanks to her father. Unknown to her, her aunt had killed her father, then took her in. When Jaime came back, Brenda helped him as Blue Beetle, but learned her "Tia" was really the crime lord La Dama, causing a rift between them.
