Fan Casting Ares in Return to the DC Universe

Ares may have been the son of Zeus and Hera, but the Greek God of War never fit in with the others in the Pantheon, forming his own realm, the Areopagus, where he seeks to be able to spread the physical acts of war across the world of humankind. In those efforts, he has come to blows against the Amazons, those blessed by Aphrodite, and particularly Wonder Woman, his own granddaughter. Though he would be slain, Ares still makes motions for his schemes.
