The elite S.T.A.R.S (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) team of the Raccoon City Police Department are investigating some strange cannibalized corpses on the outskirts of the city. On its way, the Bravo S.T.A.R.S team go missing. The Alpha squad are sent to locate them. While searching, they find the crashed helicopter but are set upon by mutated dogs, causing them to flee into a supposedly abandoned mansion.
