Nicholai Ginovaef, codenamed "Silver Wolf", is a Russian Soviet Army veteran who served in Umbrella's paramilitary as a Sergeant in the U.B.C.S. as well as a Monitor. He and the USS commando, HUNK were considered to be "rivals". During the outbreak, four U.B.C.S. platoons arrived in Raccoon City with orders to eliminate zombies and evacuate civilians. Ginovaef, however, had a number of other missions to attend to. He had orders to destroy evidence of t-Virus vaccine and assassinate Umbrella Watchdogs. After each successful mission, overcome by his own greed, Nicholai agreed to an offer by a rival company to conduct his operations in a manner that would weaken the U.B.C.S. fighting strength.
