Synopsis

In 1899, the Wildwest was on a downfall. On the cusp of a new century, numerous outlaw gangs had been eradicated. We follow the Van Der Linde Gang, a group of outlaws who work more like a family than a gang. However, as many factors begin closing in on them, and their leader slowly loses his mind, we see what it's like for an outlaw to face down America, as Van Der Linde's lead enforcer Arthur Morgan questions his loyalty, and what exactly it is he's loyal to.

Description of Charles Smith:

A Native American hunter and scout for the gang. Charles is quiet and often keeps to himself. He is very disapproving of the crimes they commit and really is only in the gang so he can have that family connection. He originally starts thinking Arthur is a cold-blooded murderer, and soon becomes one of his closest friends and most loyal associates in the gang.
