Sonic the Hedgehog is the titular main protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures. He is an anthropomorphic alien hedgehog with extraordinary powers, most notably his super speed, who hails from another planet. After being forced to flee to Earth to escape those seeking his power, Sonic remained in hiding for ten years until he accidently made his presence known, becoming the target of the villainous Dr. Robotnik. With the help of Tom Wachowski, however, Sonic managed to banish Robotnik from Earth and establish himself a better life with the Wachowski family.
