Synopsis

A young girl named Wisp is brought to a dark, desolate land with the mission to bring color to this fictional world by locating the "Sphere of Light". Along the way, she befriends a sprite named Twink and a talking horse named Starlite. She also finds a mysterious baby who turns out to be the key to her mission. With the help of her new friends, Wisp locates the legendary Color Belt and rescues the seven Color Kids, who had been trapped by the King of Shadows. Using the Color Belt, Wisp defeats the King of Shadows, liberates the sprites, and brings color and beauty to the land, henceforth called Rainbow Land. Wisp is renamed Rainbow Brite by the Sphere of Light in recognition of her leadership role over the Color Kids. Together, Rainbow Brite and the Color Kids are responsible for managing all the colors in the universe.‖ Fancasting for a hypothetical modern-day Rainbow Brite reboot because I'm highly disappointed that we've never gotten a decent or long-lived one. Only cast either trained VAs or actors who have experience doing voiceover work, characters are sorted roughly in order of introduction.

Description of Starlite (Voice):

Starlite, a flying horse, is Rainbow Brite's main method of transportation in our universe. He able to gallop on her magical Rainbow, and he can sometimes fly without it! He loves Rainbow Brite very much and always watches out for her safety and well-being. He gives her help and advice and takes her anyplace she wants to go, whether it's fun or for the cause of color. Starlite's only fault is that he's vain about his striking appearance, and that vanity makes him vulnerable to the treachery of the two villains, Murky and Lurky. When that happens, he has to count on Rainbow Brite and The Color Kids to save the day... and him!
