Synopsis

A young girl named Wisp is brought to a dark, desolate land with the mission to bring color to this fictional world by locating the "Sphere of Light". Along the way, she befriends a sprite named Twink and a talking horse named Starlite. She also finds a mysterious baby who turns out to be the key to her mission. With the help of her new friends, Wisp locates the legendary Color Belt and rescues the seven Color Kids, who had been trapped by the King of Shadows. Using the Color Belt, Wisp defeats the King of Shadows, liberates the sprites, and brings color and beauty to the land, henceforth called Rainbow Land. Wisp is renamed Rainbow Brite by the Sphere of Light in recognition of her leadership role over the Color Kids. Together, Rainbow Brite and the Color Kids are responsible for managing all the colors in the universe.‖ Fancasting for a hypothetical modern-day Rainbow Brite reboot because I'm highly disappointed that we've never gotten a decent or long-lived one. Only cast either trained VAs or actors who have experience doing voiceover work, characters are sorted roughly in order of introduction.

Description of Rainbow Brite:

Although she may be small, her good deeds and the magic she performs with her powerful Color Belt, more than make up for her size! Although full of fun, Rainbow always makes sure her work comes first. She may be enjoying a merry game with her friends, but should a sun-drenched field of wheat be in danger of losing its beautiful yellow color, or a forest of green trees need its green leaves revived, Rainbow is there in a snap, providing them with all the color they need. She does this by scattering lots of Star Sprinkles which turn magical in Rainbow's fingers. Rainbow lives in the Color Castle with her friends.
