I imagine a role: Hanna has an older big sister, rebellious, tattooed, provocative, she wanders and dabbles in shady affairs, does drugs and comes back when she chooses at home. Hanna and her mother are therefore often alone, Helen only appearing as a ghost when it suits her. Hanna met Caleb when she ran into her sister in a camp on the street. Later, she'll also becoming Spencer's dealer too (Spencer becoming friends with Hanna's sister, taking drugs with her and then becoming addicted.)
