12 years after the events of Once & Always, the name Power Rangers has become a government owned commodity. Space Petrol Delta was disbanded and replaced with the Ranger Corps program. They have commandeered the morphing grid and each year they pit candidates against each other, handpicking the best performers to wield its power. When the newly selected rangers turn rogue, it falls to rejected candidate J.J., and his mentor Kimberly, to seek a mysterious ancient power.
