Angel Fang—or Ronnie—is a hero genetically engineered by an organization affiliated with The Veil, which sought to create the next generation of heroes. Ronnie possessed the ability to transform his body into metal or various other materials, but a chemical imbalance turned him into a monster; he developed a metal jaw resembling a shark's maw, and parts of his body were composed of materials like stone, gold, silver, and diamond. Despite this, he continued working as a superhero, though he was eventually shunned due to the fear he inspired—he literally looked like a Frankenstein's monster. While on the run, he found refuge with Ray and Sandie, discovering that he could have friends who didn't fear him, and he formed a bond with Sandie.
