The vain prince Octavian and his scheming advisor, Cassius, use the magic ocean waters and arcane knowledge to construct castles and plunder their rivals.
In one defenseless town, they capture a young woman named Taesa who is a magic music scholar. She sings an enchanted song and thus begins a journey toward dangerous discoveries affecting the world around her.
The old-yet-young Chronicler, Judith, is witness to the evil deeds and plans of the prince and his advisor, yet she must not interfere or warn anyone in the path of destruction.

Indigo assists Baron Ottokar. She has the power to listen to the paths and positions of stars due to 1 magic ocean water. By her keen senses, she is able to warn the baron when the stars sometimes darken slightly, even when eyes cannot detect it.
