Description of Civic Nationalism:
Civic Nationalists, Democratic Nationalists, and Liberal Nationalists defend the idea of nationalism, but focus more on individual rights and do not believe in racial nationalism. It is built around the idea of citizenship. While it is a less common form of nationalism today than in the past, it is still common in regions that continue to advocate for independence from a larger country.
