However, it's begun to lose faith in the goodness of its creations, and has grown weaker from its apathy towards the world it maintains—and if it loses heart, the world and Arceus will cease to exist. To restore Arceus's powers and faith in the goodness of people and Pokemon, its messenger Aperon went to the Pokemon world and found Witches to entrust with the power to gather "Jewels of Happiness" evident of kind acts performed by its residents.
