Ciel and Iris were two of the youngest rangers to ever graduate with honors, and were each other's rivals and closest friends throughout their careers—but when Ciel's last mission ended in a deathly failure that also cost the life of his Pokemon partner, Ciel fell into despair and retired from being a Ranger. Now, he spends his days as a reclusive shut-in who rarely leaves the house... But when Iris comes knocking on his doorstep years later to request his help in finding the Chromatic Visions, he reluctantly picks up the mantle in hopes of righting his past wrongs.
