Synopsis

A group of nomads looking for a new home after a disaster from beyond the stars devastated their old one, a clan of survivors seeking sanctuary in the midst of a brutal war, and a team of scholars and explorers seeking answers to prevent a great oncoming tragedy. What do these three groups all have in common? They all resided in the history-laden Sleeping Ruins at different points in history! But when our team of archaeologists stumbles upon a strange site that they believe holds the answers they seek, they're suddenly flung into the distant past or future, and must now survive this strange world and retrieve their scattered ranks with help from locals of that time, all while searching for answers to their present-day problem... ‖ fancast for a hypothetical PMD game. Description of Varoom (English Dub):

One of the teammates you gain while stuck in the future. Varoom's a Pokemon who's been wandering from place to place for as long as he could remember, and has seen nothing but death and despair in every town he's passed. Despite this, he firmly believes there's a future beyond this war, and works behind the scenes to help stop the Swords of War. By befriending him, the heroes help him bring his dream of a peaceful future to fruition.
