Synopsis

A group of nomads looking for a new home after a disaster from beyond the stars devastated their old one, a clan of survivors seeking sanctuary in the midst of a brutal war, and a team of scholars and explorers seeking answers to prevent a great oncoming tragedy. What do these three groups all have in common? They all resided in the history-laden Sleeping Ruins at different points in history! But when our team of archaeologists stumbles upon a strange site that they believe holds the answers they seek, they're suddenly flung into the distant past or future, and must now survive this strange world and retrieve their scattered ranks with help from locals of that time, all while searching for answers to their present-day problem... ‖ fancast for a hypothetical PMD game. Description of Phanpy (NB) (English Dub):

One of the three Pokemon you start with in both games. Phanpy is a chipper and enthusiastic archaeologist who is brought on to locate an archaeology site believed to hold the key to stopping an oncoming disaster—but when their team goes to investigate the site that they believe has their answers, they're all stranded in the distant parts of time instead! Their cheerful and optimistic attitude makes them the glue that holds the group together throughout the journey. (Note: the player can choose the gender for each of the three starter mons, with each gender having its own voice option).
