Synopsis

The archetype cool girl Jennifer and her geeky nerd of a brother David one day find themselves conflicted over who will watch the tv, both with equally petty reasons. After a TV repair man comes over, they fight for the remote only to find themselves transported into a whimsical vintage world of the tv show: Pleasantville. While it all seems sunshine and roses they slowly begin to realise the issues with the childhood dream land, correcting them, unknown to the consequences that would follow.

Description of David’s Mom (Jennifer and David’s Mother):

David and Jennifer’s real mother. I’m contrast to David and Jennifer’s idealistic life, she is depressed and sad constantly. Often she is very upset with their quarrelling. This is shown as a relief when they leave her to David, as he now has the perfect life. However as it begins to darken in Pleasantville, he realises that the best place for him is home. Where he comes back to meet his mother and comforts her, showing their connection.
