David and Jennifer’s real mother. I’m contrast to David and Jennifer’s idealistic life, she is depressed and sad constantly. Often she is very upset with their quarrelling. This is shown as a relief when they leave her to David, as he now has the perfect life. However as it begins to darken in Pleasantville, he realises that the best place for him is home. Where he comes back to meet his mother and comforts her, showing their connection.
