Main protagonist of the trilogy. An energetic and optimistic 14 year old with phasing powers. In the first movie Kitty's mutant abilities manifest and she is sent to the Xavier Institute to learn how to use them. She is put into class with Nightcrawler, Jubilee, and Colossus. She and Colossus develop a healthy romance that ends in them getting together at the end of the 2nd movie. She rises to become a leader among her students in the final movie when she helps the mutants escape Mesmero's illusions.
