In November 2008, Fox Searchlight and Blue Sky planned an animated Pingu feature film. Tim Story (Fantastic Four 1&2) were in talks to develop a story, but in July 2011, Blue Sky canceled the project. However, hopefully, Blue Sky will learn from their mistakes by reviving the project and hiring Kelly Asbury as the director.
