Synopsis

Kungfupunk, as described by Soulframe, is a mixture of traditional Chinese kung fu, steampunk, and cyberpunk. CEO of S-Game and game director of Phantom Blade Zero, Soulframe Liang, listed Resident Evil, Ninja Gaiden, and Dark Souls as a loose frame of reference for what the team pulled from. Ninja Gaiden fed into Phantom Blade Zero's fast, frenetic, and almost rhythmic combat, Dark Souls for the layered level design of various stages that will appear in the game, and Resident Evil for tone.

Description of Soul (Main Protagonist):

An elite assassin serving a powerful and secretive organization called The Order. Soul's journey takes a dire turn when he is framed for the murder of The Order's patriarch. During the ensuing manhunt, Soul sustains severe injuries but is saved by a mystic healer who administers a temporary cure, granting him only 66 days to live. Personality: He comes out as reserved and a little reclusive. He is actually warm on the inside and frigid on the outside. Friendship is very important to him. He is quite composed most of the time. He occasionally displays his carefree, impulsive, and youthful side. Ethnicity: Asian (likely Chinese)
