The Manticore is one of the monst dangerous monsters in Greek Mythology. He is part lion, part scorpion, and part dragon; he can fly; and unlike the other “monsters” he can speak like a human. In the Percy Jackson universe he disguises himself as a headmaster named Dr. Thorn; he also speaks in heavy French accent. In his first appearance he fights Percy , Annabeth, Grover, and Thalia to try and kill the DiAngelos but is stopped by Artemis and her hunters but not before taking Annabeth with him. We later find out he works for The General Atlas, and that he has an inferiority complex. He then trys to kill Percy, Thalia, Grover, and Zoe again but is killed by Dionysus.
