Grover is a saytr, a being half human and half goat. When we firs meet him he’s a scrawny emotional kid who is bullied frequently by Nancy Bobofitt & Dionysus, and loves enchiladas. We later find out his role is to find suspected demigods and get them to Camp Half Blood for Chiron. But since the Minotaur slowed them and down and because Grover was passed out he failed his assignment. Then we learn he was assigned to rescue Thalia but failed that assignment as well. In The Sea of Monsters, while on his quest to find Pan he’s captured by Polyphemus. In The Battle of The Labyrinth he does find Pan and releases his spirit and inherits his power. In The Last Olympian he fights Hyperion and wins.
