Circe is the goddess of magic. She is the head of her own island and she used to turn men into pigs until she then decided on guinea pigs. When we meet her in Sea of Monsters, she seems like a nice and friendly person. Until she tricks Percy into drinking a portion that turns him into a guinea pig. Until Annabeth thwarts her by saving Percy and inadvertently saving the feared pirate Blackbeard and his crew.
