Alfred Pennyworth was raised in England son of Jarvis Pennyworth who eventually moved to America and became the Wayne Family butler. Jarvis had hoped and wanted Alfred to take over once he was gone and continue to serve the family, but Alfred was greatly opposed to the idea and moved back to England to pursue his dream of becoming a stage actor along with his brother Wilfred but unfortunately they are both drafted to fight in WWII.
