The Mighty Pups are up against their most powerful enemy yet: the intergalactic tyrant known as Ultimatus, a being of extraordinary power who can make multiple worlds crumble before him. They meet his rival, the wise and ancient dog Paradox, and he trains them to unlock their Mighty Powers' mystic stage, the only thing that can stop Ultimatus. But in their first battle against Ultimatus, he takes away their powers, corrupted Ryder to become his vanguard for his invasion of Earth, and fatally wounded Paradox. The ancient dog tells Chase and the pups that if they want to get their powers back, and gained new abilities, to unlock their mystic stage, they must travel to his homeworld, Mightania, where the meteors that gave them their powers came from! They'll have Paradox's spirit to guide them and continue their training. Eventually, they get their powers back and fight Ultimatus and his forces before he could conquer Earth.
