Synopsis

"Pacific Blue" is an American action crime drama television series that aired on the USA Network from 1996 to 2000. Set in the fictional city of Santa Monica, California, the show follows a group of police officers who patrol the beaches and boardwalks on bicycles. The team, called the "Bike Patrol," is led by Lieutenant Anthony Palermo, played by Mario Lopez, and includes officers such as Chris Kelly (played by Darlene Vogel) and T.C. Callaway (played by Jim Davidson). The show focuses on the officers as they deal with various crimes that occur in the beachside community, including drug trafficking, theft, and murder. Throughout its four-season run, "Pacific Blue" garnered a dedicated fan base and was known for its high-octane action sequences and captivating storylines. The show also tackled important social issues, such as domestic violence, animal rights, and environmental concerns. "Pacific Blue" was praised for its diverse cast and strong female characters, including Vogel's Chris Kelly, who was one of the first female characters in a leading role in a police drama.
