An animated miniseries following Sun Wukong after emerging in modern day Boston after Isabel Tang, a 3rd generation immigrant from China, shatters her late father's Qing Dynasty jade necklace. Wukong, realising his powers are weakened due to a curse from the Buddha, and after hearing of a rumour that the Buddha's Avatar is living in San Francisco, goes on a journey across America, along with Isabel, her 10 year old brother Constantine and her 3 friends, Samara, Chandler and Haley.
