John Quaid is a charismatic and manipulative man, capable of alternating between sarcasm and seriousness depending on the situation. He is marked by people and by the guilt of the sacrifices made. His determination to protect humanity makes him a self-sacrificing, often isolated man, who does not hesitate to ignore his own emotional needs for the greater good. Although cynical, he uses humor as a defense to hide his pain, always maintaining control. After a stint as a soldier and secret agent, he became an urban vigilante sworn to defend defenseless victims from abuse and violence. He operates in the shadows and can be hired as a bodyguard and "sweeper" (problem solver/private investigator). Along with Hades and Lily, they are an independent group; he became a "hunter" of supernatural creatures, monsters, demons, and ghosts, to protect humanity and face evil and the fate that awaits them.
