Description of Edward H. Hardy (Ed):
Ed is the male protagonist of the story. He is an intelligent, resourceful, kind man who can also show unequaled anger, violence and rancor. He is also very protective of Sora and would put his life before hers, taking her under his wing as if she were his own daughter, having made a promise to Sarah (Sora's mother) to take her in no matter what. He took a rifle bullet to the lung, permanently damaging his breathing.
