In the mystical realm of Ninjago, peace is threatened by the return of Lord Garmadon, a tyrannical warlord commanding an army of darkness. To combat this evil, the wise Master Wu recruits six ordinary 17-year-olds, unlocking their dormant elemental abilities. Together, these teenage warriors must learn the ancient martial art of Spinjitzu and work as a team. As they balance the typical struggles of growing up with the massive burden of saving the world, they unlock legendary golden weapons. They must stop Garmadon before he plunges their home into eternal darkness.
