A race of intelligent brain-like aliens from Dimension X that Krang belongs to. Unlike Krang, the Utroms are a peaceful race, with a few exceptions, who only wish to spread their knowledge to other species. Krang originally plotted to conquer his people by overthrowing his father the high councilor and leaving Dimension X to conquer other worlds. However, a benevolent Utrom named Mortu led a rebellion that ended with Krang being banished to Earth, where he would be captured by the Earth Protection Force and eventually found by Shredder. Mortu later founded the Techno-Cosmic Research Institute as a way of spying on Krang’s activities and aiding the Turtles from afar.
