The tyrannical ruler of Aerwyl plotting to conquer Dimension X with the Imperial Fleet by his side. He is the arch-enemy of the Nova Posse, who all abandoned his empire after the Long Red Night revealed to them his various atrocities, and have been resisting him ever since. During one battle with the Posse, Mazool encountered the Ninja Turtles while they were in Dimension X to return the Hyperstone of Sarnath to its rightful owner, and Mazool wanted the stone for himself.
