Description of Archie Goodwin:

Nero Wolfe's right hand, Archie is as sharp as a tack and twice as likely to aim a witticism at someone whether they know it or not. Charming to a fault, Archie has been known to talk himself in and out of trouble at an alarmingly regular rate, and though his skill for reporting verbatim makes him indispensable to Wolfe's operations, the FBI may not be the kind of people who are appreciate his loquaciousness (few people are).
