The investigation is complicated by the fact that the victim is the granddaughter of a powerful Senator. Further complicating matters, the main suspect is the enigmatic Irish billionaire, Roarke, whom Eve finds herself reluctantly drawn to. Her cop's instincts warn her not to get involved with a man who could potentially be a murderer. But the attraction between her and Roarke is too strong for her to deny.
