Appeared much later in the movie. During the timeskip, he was assigned to investigate Ren's case when Ren has been arrested as a serial killer. In prison, during interrogation, Ren refuses to give any details, although tests have shown that he has mutated DNA. All Ren wants is to die and pleads to him and the other investigators for them to put him in the sunlight to end his misery.
