Former special forces operative Wade Wilson is diagnosed with terminal cancer and volunteers for a secret experimental program. The procedure grants him accelerated healing powers but horribly disfigures his appearance, turning his life upside down. Adopting the alter ego "Deadpool," Wade sets out to get revenge on Ajax the man responsible for his suffering while also fighting to protect and hold onto his beloved girlfriend, Vanessa.
